At RiviaSphynx, my cats are first and foremost much-loved members of my family. Their health, happiness and wellbeing are at the heart of every decision I make. My approach to breeding has been shaped not only by over 40 years of caring for cats and the guidance of experienced Sphynx breeders, but also by my own personal experiences, including the heartbreak of losing a much-loved kitten. Those experiences have taught me just how important it is for prospective owners to feel informed, reassured and supported throughout their journey.

Health and Welfare Come First

I take the health of my breeding cats seriously, with FeLV/FIV testing, regular PCR screening and annual HCM scans performed by qualified veterinary cardiologists. While no breeder can guarantee that a kitten will never develop a health condition, I believe in taking responsible steps to reduce risks, being open about breed-related health concerns and making informed decisions with veterinary guidance.

My cats are part of my everyday life, and I believe kittens deserve a caring environment where their individual personalities and needs are recognised. For me, breeding is not simply about producing beautiful kittens. It is about giving them the best possible start in life and preparing them for the families who will love them.

As a registered nurse with over 40 years of professional experience, I understand the importance of careful observation, hygiene, preventative care and recognising when expert advice is needed.
