Our Story and Commitment to Ethical Breeding
RiviaSphynx started from a heartfelt devotion and love for the Canadian Sphynx breed. I have been mentored by two very experienced UK Sphynx Breeders - Kinga Edwards of Meadowsphynx Canadian Sphynx based in Lincolnshire and Jackie Parslow of Hairlesswhiskers based in London. At Riviasphynx, we uphold the highest welfare and health standards, dedicating ourselves to responsible breeding that honours these unique cats' well-being, temperament and future.
To ensure RiviaSphynx kittens are healthy, all breeding cats are tested for FIV/FeLV, undergo regular PCR tests, and scanned yearly by a board certified cardiologist at the Small Animal Hospital, University of Glasgow.
Experience, Care and Welfare
We have had a lifelong passion for cats with over 40 years of personal experience caring for them.
I am also a registered nurse with over 40 years of professional nursing experience. Although my nursing career is completely separate from Riviasphynx and I am not a veterinary professional, my nursing background has reinforced my appreciation of careful observation, cleanliness, compassionate care and attention to my cats' wellbeing.
At RiviaSphynx, veterinary health matters are appropriately assessed and managed by qualified veterinary professionals. My role as a breeder is to make informed breeding decisions and always put the welfare of my cats and kittens first.

RiviaSphynx focuses on ethical breeding and health first practices, together with a deep respect for the magic of the Sphynx breed. We believe in transparency and honesty and building lifelong connections with our kitten's owners to provide support and advice whenever it's needed.
We personally care for each cat and kitten raised in our home. By fostering strong bonds and placing health above all, we ensure every Riviasphynx kitten leaves nurtured and ready for their loving forever home.
