Our programme follows cardiologist led HCM screening, comprehensive DNA testing and routine infectious disease monitoring. Results will be made available to new kitten owners.
Our HCM Protocol
- Annual scans for our breeding cats
- Performed by Board Certified Feline Cardiologists
- Results published once verified
- Cats with abnormal results will be immediately retired from breeding

The Following DNA Genetic Testing is Carried Out On RiviaSphynx Breeding Cats;
- CMS (Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome)
- Blood Group testing
- BHK (Burmese Hypokalaemia)
- ALMS1-gene (HCM genetic test)
- PCR testing for: Feline herpesvirus, Calicivirus, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, Giardia, Tritrichomonas.
Any cats testing positive for any of the above are isolated immediately and retested as required.
